The BSFARC will NOT be participating in this years event. Last year it was apparent to our volunteers that the use of FaceBook messenger and the Fentress County EMA radios satisficed their requirements.
This year’s race is scheduled for Friday, October 1st through Saturday, October 2nd. The race will begin at 9AM Central Time and officially end at 6PM on Saturday the 2nd.
Last year they moved our start/finish to the Group Camp at Pickett CCC Memorial State Park in Tennessee which turned out to be very successful despite dealing with a pandemic. They will once again be running the race out of the Group Camp this year and hopefully from here on out. The course route (see below) will stay exactly the same except they will be running it in the clockwise direction leaving from the Group Camp and heading north towards Peters Mountain and Blue Heron in Kentucky first then bringing the runners south into Bandy Creek Campground and eventually back into Pickett State Park.
They opened up registration for this year’s race on January 1st with a capacity limit of 250 runners. The race sold out in under 48 hours and they currently have 180 runners on our waitlist. No Business also became a qualifying race for one of the most prestigious 100-mile races in the country, the Western States 100. People are taking notice of this race and want to come be a part of it. That success is because of all of you. Just wanted to say thanks for the amazing support we have received from all of you over the years putting on this race. It’s no easy feat to put on an event like this but so many organizations and individuals from the local communities have come together to make it possible by providing support, expertise, and their time to help make this race a success.
